Further to my last post regarding Bitcoin (BTC), I would make this simple observation that a so-called 'investment' in Bitcoin is not a hedge against market downturns, as is plain to see on the following monthly comparison chart of the S&P 500 index (SPX) and Bitcoin.
It's far more volatile...and more like a chaotic crap shoot.
